a squirrel climbed our screen door twice today. I have a stick and if he comes back i'm going to hit him.

Where are some good places in Michigan to camp?

Tuesday, May 08, 2007

I took that job so now my summer will be really busy, but it will be worth it.  Hopefully I'll get some camping in somewhere.

Last night I went out with my small group from school to a restaurant in the Forest Hills area.  It was pretty expensive but really good.  I had the duck.  I've eaten my share of duck before but never in a restaurant, I always had to shoot it and clean it and prepare it myself.  This duck at the restaurant was the best duck I have ever had.  I honestly didn't know that duck could be that good.

While we were there we somehow got on the subject of accidentally killing animals.  I'm not sure if I have ever accidentally killed any animals, but it did remind me of one of the greatest feats I've ever witnessed in my life.  I once saw a man shoot a squirrel running through a chopped cornfield with a .22 rifle, with one shot - 75 yards away.  Who was it you may ask...Douglas G. Krikke.  That man is my hero.
